Tuition

The online MSL Master's Degree and Graduate Certificate tuition is $1,074 per credit hour for the 2022-2023 academic year. Additionally, all students must pay a technology fee of $200.00 each fall and spring semester. Students typically enroll in 3-6 credit hours per semester. Please note that tuition and fees are reviewed annually and are subject to change. Historically, tuition has increased 2%-5% annually.

Cost of Attendance

Below is the 2022-2023 estimated cost of attendance (COA) based on 6 credit hours per fall and spring semesters (9-month figures). Tuition is based on the number of credit hours enrolled. The total COA is the maximum amount of financial aid a student may receive for his or her enrollment.

Expenses billed directly to the student account (direct costs) are tuition and the required technology fee. Additional expenses (indirect costs) are also included in the COA to help students determine the overall costs associated with attending school. These additional expenses are estimates for students needing to subsidize their expenses with student aid. Students are not required to borrow the full amount of aid offered to them.

Financial Aid

Federal student aid may be available for degree-seeking students enrolled in at least 3 credit hours per semester. Federal aid is not available for the certificate program. Some private loan lenders offer student loan options for students in non-degree programs. For more information, see Student Loans.

Students seeking federal student loans must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The Wake Forest University School of Law Title IV Code is E00514. Upon admission to the MSL degree program and submission of the FAFSA, students will receive an award notification email detailing financial aid eligibility and instructions for accepting their award.

Many students also enroll in summer courses. Students enrolled at least half-time in the MSL degree program who have completed a FAFSA for the current year will be notified of summer financial aid eligibility by email beginning in March.
